Vintage Snapshot {Little Oil Painting}

The moment I saw this painting, I fell in love with it.  It’s so homely. The way the orangey roof and the yellow shop awning pops out is delightful.

I bought it at the Salvos.  It’s quite old,  judging by the frame and backing (well, that’s what an art valuer told me..) and it’s a pity that the signature down on the right is illegible.  I always hoped it was a long-lost Paul van Eeden painting.

The words on the store front to the right reads “vêtement” which is French for garment.  Framed in Den Haag – the Netherlands.  Quite the little European.

Hi there! Nice to see you! Let me know what you think.
